LIfe is a treasure! We are constantly finding something about ourselves or the people around us! Each one of us is a gift or a moment waiting to be opened or unfolded! Come in and see my little treasures, come in and see what unfolds! This is my life!

A memory for the mind and feeling for the heart!
Moments in time, a certain smell, a certain song, the feeling of a wet kiss, a certain place, a season.............These are the things that give us flashbacks! These are the things that stir up feelings and give us flashbacks of memories that have been tucked away somewhere in our brain! The smell of popcorn may remind you of a favorite movie, a certain song may remind you of the summer of 2000, a certain season may bring back memories of a loved one! Our brain and heart are our storage places, or should I say, our gas tanks! These memories and feelings keep our bodies pumped with fuel to say......look back, but move on......life has more for you to create!

Life is like a Taco!
Sometimes life is at it's best when you have so many things piled up at one time! There's the taco shell that "keeps everything in place", the tomatoes that are so tangy and full of "all that jazz", the lettuce that "keeps us cool inside", the cheese that" helps us stick together", and the sour cream which "reminds us of the good things in life"! Don't forget to eat your taco with everything piled high on it!
childhood
Ahh, Hot summer days, mud pies, barbie bikes, picking black berries, talking to my dog, swimming, camping, dolls, barbie dolls, playing with homemade boats in the ditch after a rain, playing in the rain, slipping-n-sliding in mud puddles, singing the Grease soundtrack and acting out every part! Memories of childhood linger in my mind, and some I have to be reminded of as I get older. Childhood helps to mold us into who we become! Let your children play, imagine, get dirty, play in the rain, ride a bike as fast as they can, and don't forget to keep them safe! You're only a child once, so let it be good memories!
Vacation
The excitement, the hustle and bustle of packing, the thought of "I can't wait to get there", the kids in the back seat saying "are we there yet?", the time to relax and be at peace from the rest of the fast-paced world! Nothing is like going on vacation with your family and visiting exciting, new, and sometimes old and familiar places! I have such good memories of florida, jamaica, California, Chicago, Alabama, Mississippi, Peru etc......
Don't forget to travel kids! Travel as much as you can and enjoy life, and if you can't afford to travel when you are older, travel in your minds, read about it, and make your surroundings a never-ending-vacation spot! Love You!

Saturday!
Saturdays! Oh, how I enjoy Saturday....the day to sleep late and cuddle, the day to be lazy and drag butt! Nothing like a big cup of coffee or two on a Saturday morning just like my grandma used to make for me! My coffee is a sugar rush....2 spoons of sugar and lots of evaporated milk...PET brand of course! There is nothing like the smell of fresh cut grass on a saturday morning or the sound of the rain falling outside that gives it more of a sense of.........relaxation! The smell of fried beignets really adds a touch of "New Orleans" to my house.....oh how I love those beignets! Later we'll fry some fish and swim in the pool with the kids! Enjoy your Saturday, make it your day, the day for you to relax and enjoy what you love doing!

Nighttime
At night, when I just can't go anymore, when everyone in the house is asleep except me(because I am the hyper one).......it feels so good just to listen to the "quiet" in the house! The humming of the AC, the dishwasher running, the dog snoring, the ice machine dumping ice........just the stillness or creaking of the walls is so relaxing! Oh, but how life continues while we sleep! I watch ady sleeping and cuddling in my bed....I wonder "are you having good dreams"? Usually, Ethan is lurking around a corner waiting to jump into our little slumber party! Gage is upstairs all by his lonesome and I can hear the T.V. with some cartoon on ............AHHHH, relaxation until morning!
HAPPINESS
Did you meat anyone new today? If you didn't, you didn't venture out and pay attention.....I met an old lady today! Not only was she an old lady, but she was so happy! She had a huge, contagious smile on her face! All I could think of was "what makes this woman so happy"? The question is what makes you happy? Is it a loved one, your children, friends, a co-worker, a cup of coffee, a pet, a bag of chips, a slice of pizza, that special blanket or pillow, the car that you drive? All of these things are part of our everyday lives, but we don't slow down enough to stop, look around, pay attention and really think "what or who has made me happy today"? Oh, and don't forget to thank someone for making your day a little more merrier! Thanks old lady!

The ungodly Hour
Gage, Ethan, and Ady,
You guys are too young to know the meaning of death! With life comes death. There will be people in your life that you will have to say goodbye to. Wether that person is a girlfriend, boyfriend, spouse, mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, or even a close or distant friend! Just remember, the love you have for them...........the love will always be in your heart! The memories will dwell in your mind forever! Life and death go hand-in-hand.....one can not be separated from the other.
The Making Of An American Quilt
This is one of my favorite movies! There is just a good motto about this movie! Remember kids to choose your quilt wisely! Remember to make sure that it has all of the colors you dream it to have. Make sure all of it's corners are shaped the way you want them shaped! Remember that the quilt will need mending and washing at times! Remember that the quilt will loose some of it's color and flare if not taken care of correctly! Remember that if you give your quilt love, you will get love in return, if you mend it, it will stay strong, if you forget about it, it will soon forget about you! Don't tuck your quilt in a closet or a chest, hold it close to you always .........I'm sure when you get older you will know that I am talking about your life and the life you have chosen with a loved one! Right now, these things seem so far away, but.............You are actually making your quilt at this very moment! I love you Gage, Ethan, and Ady!
